Design Projects
Integrating stormwater management into the
fabric of neo-traditional communities, The classic American cities
and towns from which the new urbanism draws its inspiration were
built many years before passage of the Federal Clean Water Act.
Working with leading engineers and hydrologists, Brenton Associates
are developing appropriate aesthetic responses to blend best
stormwater management practices with neo-traditinal community
forms.

The drawing at left shows a proposal for a civic
square. A formally landscaped garden adorns one end of the
square. A bioretention facility reflects this garden at the
opposite end of the square. The drawing below shows an expanded
boulevard median supporting a water quality practice. |
